
Otis M. Jones, Deputy Commissioner for Housing Operations for the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) received the Governor's Tribute to African American Leaders of Excellence in State Service for the year 2001. Mr. Jones was selected for his "outstanding contributions to the agency and the Empire State."
The award was presented during the annual New York State African American Kick-Off celebration on February 6, 2001. The event was held in the State Museum Auditorium at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. The program included musical and historical presentations and a ribbon cutting ceremony for a renown Smithsonian exhibit "Reflections in Black."
Otis is an honorary member of the New York Association of Realty Managers and a former member of the Board of Directors.
