A meeting is being called to form a coalition of all housing companies - co-ops, condos and rentals -
interested in developing on site supportive service programs for their elderly residents. These programs called
NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities) programs offer a variety of supportive services to
intergenerational, moderate income housing units.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, March 1 at 10 AM at 465 Grand Street in lower Manhattan.
Brunch will be served. The meeting should be attended by board members or owners and the discussion will
focus on getting additional city funding to develop more new NORC programs as well as strengthening existing
ones. There are now 28 such programs in New York City.
In order to attend please FAX your acceptance with your name and housing company to: (212) 673-3902. You will be FAXED back your invitation and instructions for transportation to the meeting.
