For the past seven years NYARM has endeavored to bring joy and happiness to handicapped and mentally challenged children at Christmas time. Various schools have been the recipients of our largesse: AHRC schools in Brooklyn and Queens; Association for the Benefit of Children; Hale House and The NY Child Learning Institute.

Chairperson Joan Saberito has done a wonderful job locating soft, plush toys perfect for these children whose emotional, physical and mental challenges run the gamut. Her champion in this effort has been a generous gentleman, Scott Mace, who not only scours the industry looking for suitable toys but offers them to NYARM at cut rate pricing.

Two years ago, NYARM presented Scott with a commemorative plaque. This year, NYARM presented the "workaholic" with a gift certificate to the Journal Committee’s favorite restaurant, Peter Luger and Len Jones, NYARM President presented Scott with a NYARM lapel pin, reserved for special friends and members of the association.
