WE GET LETTERS

November 11, 1999

Donna,

Jim Arbury of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) tells us that Senate and House conferees have agreed on a new Satellite Home Viewers Act that will allow urban users (in major metro areas) of satellite dishes to pull in local news, weather and sports. It promises to make satellite TV a more potent competitor to cable television. The President is expected to sign the law. Within 30-180 days, users in metro areas will have local feeds available.

It becomes even more imperative that apartment property owners enforce reasonable restrictions (no dishes outside leased premises, no holes drilled, reasonable security deposits).

What problems have [your members] had with Satellite Dishes at [their] properties? Your stories would be helpful, pictures of bad installations would be even better.

Thanks for your help.

Dear Donna,

It's difficult to put into words how much I appreciate your kindness and efforts on behalf of the children, families and staff of AHRC Brooklyn Blue Feather. Your annual visit truly starts our holiday celebration. The soft, adorable teddy bears were a huge hit. Many families called to remark on how much the children loved them. Brandon's mom wrote a note the very next day stating…"he slept all night with it clutched in his arms."

I hope that you and all the "NYARM elves" enjoy everything good this year and for years to come. The warmth and generosity of your group is special. As principal of Brooklyn Blue Feather it is my pleasure to know and work with you all.

Best wishes for the holiday season.

Dear Wonderful Friends of NYARM,

Every year it gets more difficult to adequately express my gratitude to all of you for the VISIT FROM SANTA to our "special children: at Francis of Paola.

This year's Teddy Bears were so cuddly and warm…and ever so special. Thanks, Joan and Company, for choosing them for us.

Santa was his usual JOLLY OLD SELF and his Elves made our children feel so very special.

Some of our parents sent in notes to express their gratitude. I have enclosed them because their words come right from the "heart of the matter."

Have a wonderful Holiday Season and a Healthy and Prosperous 2000.

Gratefully yours,

Sister Pat and Staff

Francis of Paola
