NYARM EXPO AN EARLY HIT WITH 70 PERCENT OF BOOTHS SOLD
Over 140 Exhibition Booths Sold Months Before October 18 Trade Show at Pier 88

After taking a year's hiatus, on Thursday, October 18, 2001 one of the most anticipated and popular trade shows in the real estate industry, the NYARM Real Estate Expo, is coming back to life with a bang and more than 70 percent in early booth sales, announces Donna Klein, executive director of NYARM.
"It's one thing to hear people talk about how much they missed our show last year, but quite another to see how quickly managers and vendors have responded to participate in it," says Ms. Klein. "The Expo has always been an important show and with McCarthy Expositions producing it this year, it will be one of the best run shows in the industry."
NEW VENUE
The new venue for the Expo, Pier 88 at the Show Piers, is a spacious, glass-enclosed facility with 70,000 gross square feet of space, which will provide ample space for the 200 booths and various seminars that will be running throughout the day. Located on 11th Avenue and 48th Street in Manhattan, it is easily accessible by public transportation and offers such advantages as onsite rooftop parking, direct access via truck roadways and freight and passenger elevators to the main floors.

SEMINARS
In addition to the expansion of the show, several seminars have already been scheduled, including "Trimming Your Energy Budget," "Indoor Air Quality and Other Environmental Issues," and "Safety in the Workplace."
POSTER CONTEST
Moreover, this year's show will introduce the first annual Poster Contest in which property managers can display their building project achievements through charts and photographs. Management companies will be eligible to submit up to three entries at $30 each. NYARM members and all real estate professionals are invited to participate. Entries may be submitted by the property itself, the management company, or the contractor who performed the improvement. Awards will be given in the following categories:
· Lobby Upgrade
· Elevator Upgrade
· Playground Upgrade
· Security Enhancement
· Best Telecom/Internet Packaging
· Original/Historic Restoration
· Façade Improvement
· Kitchen Upgrades
· HVAC Upgrades
· Boiler System Upgrades
· ADA Compliance
· Best Overall Signage
An independent judging panel comprised of New York area building professionals will view each entry submitted. The judging panel may consider additional categories from those not mentioned above. Entries must fall within one of the following property types:
· Residential Buildings
· Co-op and Condo Buildings
· Professional Office Space
· Retail Space
· Commercial and Industrial Property
· Distinctive Individual Apartment
· Distinctive Individual Home
