As with all professionals, NYARM managers, suppliers and contractors know that it is important to have a source for information. Networking is a primary way of accessing extensive knowledge. It keeps you up to date on what’s happening in our industry. It affords you an opportunity to participate in the exchange of ideas. It is an invaluable resource that can complete projects and bring fruition to concepts.
If you have ever felt isolated while tending to the details of managing or marketing, you know the value of networking. If you have ever found yourself wondering how the latest change in a law or regulation will actually affect you or if you have ever been pressured by deadlines, you can appreciate your professional association as a resource. If you ever desired to advance in this industry, the ability to meet and talk with other professionals is invaluable.
NYARM, as a professional association, offers its members an extensive, reliable network and more. It is hard to find a better source for information than the combination of our monthly membership meetings, the NYARM newspaper and our educational program. We also offer seminars and special events.
Additionally, we offer a management certification program that results in the designation nyarm (new york accredited realty manager), which is recognized by the New York State and City government agencies and is beneficial in the private sector. Other member services include health insurance programs for individuals and companies, a credit union, a job referral service and discounted Sprint PCS cellular service.
NYARM is celebrating its 42nd year as a professional organization. We are able to continue only with the support of our membership. We, like all associations, rely on membership dues and fund raising activities. Our membership year begins July 1st. Members will be receiving, any day now, an annual renewal invoice. We hope that you will immediately take pen in hand and write out a check to renew your commitment to your membership association.
