YEAR END MESSAGE

P. LEONARD JONES
As 1999 comes to a close, so does the 41st anniversary year of the New York Association of Realty Managers (NYARM). Our reputation as one of the leading property managers associations has been enhanced this year. We continue to grow through our dedication to the industry and we continue to thrive as our membership rolls increase. Participation in our functions, seminars, meetings and social events is at an all time high.
As a member of NYARM, a professional in real estate management is offered a network for information and services. We offer educational seminars and a New York City and State approved certification program with broad appeal to the industry. The NYARM Code of Ethics has become a practical set of guidelines that assures recognition as a true professional.
Other benefits of membership in NYARM have increased in 1999. We continue to make available safe and convenient business and personal banking services, as well as low cost loans through our credit union affiliation. We offer a job referral service which has placed many managers in significant positions.
In 1999 we extended the list of interesting and informative guest speakers at our monthly meetings. This year developers Jeff Levine and Joshua Muss, attorneys Rob Calica and Charles Dorego and elected officials Public Advocate Mark Green and Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields among others were added to the long list of NYARM guests bringing information to our members.
When this, our 41st year closes, we can look back with pride on the events we sponsored for our members and the real estate industry. NYARM presented four educational seminars in 1999, all well attended and chock full of information for the residential real estate manager. NYARMs 41st anniversary party, third annual golf outing and annual Real Estate Expo (despite the unwelcome visit of Hurricane Floyd) were all unqualified successes. We eagerly look forward to our annual holiday dinner dance on Saturday, December 4th at Leonards of Great Neck. Get your reservations and journal ads in as soon as possible.
As we end the century and look towards a new millennium, NYARM continues as a strong and cohesive organization dedicated to the advancement of the real estate management profession. We thank our members, associates and advertisers for their support of our activities and publications. They are why NYARM is more than just a trade association. If you are not yet a member of the NYARM family, we encourage you to join with us in our continuing efforts in the interests of the industry. Simply fill out the membership application below and return it to us with the appropriate fee.
Happy holidays to you all.
