In our 42nd year as a professional organization, NYARM continues to enjoy an outstanding reputation for its leadership in the real estate management industry. We are known for our educational programs, informational forums, industry networking, the extensive benefit programs offered to our membership and the legislative initiatives on behalf of our colleagues. Further, we are especially proud of all the graduates of our management training and certification programs who have become new york accredited realty managers.
But, our work has never ended there. We are also proud of our charity work. The members of NYARM have always maintained the principle of giving back to the community. Through the generosity of our members and supporters, we have been able to raise funds and collect food and toys for our various charitable events over the years. The events are too many to list in this message, but we continue to glow with the result of our efforts on behalf of the mentally and physically challenged children of the AHRC Blue Feather School in Brooklyn.
You may not be aware that every event NYARM holds, from luncheon and dinner meetings to the golf outing and annual dinner dance, some of the proceeds are dedicated to our charity work. It is another reason your participation is important.
This year will be no different. NYARM's schedule of charitable events for the 2000 fall and winter season begins with our donating Halloween costumes and decorations to Francis at Paola, another AHRC school for developmentally disabled children. On November 15th we once again assist NY Cares with their coat drive for the homeless. And, as always, we will be bringing Santa Claus and toys to schools for special needs children. This year we are supported in this effort with toys donated by Toys R Us! All this is due in part to the tireless efforts of Charity Chairperson Joan Saberito and committee members Nelson Davis and Michael Wegielski.
Like so many other great organizations, NYARM believes that working for the benefit of others lifts our association and brings us closer together. We invite you to continue your support or to join us in our work on behalf of those who are less fortunate than we are.
