A beautiful sunny day graced the fifth annual NYARM Golf Outing on Monday, June 4, 2001. The nearly 150 NYARM members and friends had a glorious day of golf. Held again at the beautiful Colonial Springs Golf Course in East Farmingdale, Long Island the golfers enjoyed buffet breakfast, driving range, 18 holes of golf, golf carts and a sumptuous barbecue dinner with open bar.
This year's winners took home beautiful cut glass trophies. The Scientific Compactor/Boiler team of Irwin and Michael Sandler and Eamon Desacia, Scientific and Mark Wisner, Air Master Windows took men's low gross. Women's low gross went to "The Girls" Nanci Sanders and Donna Klein. The Total Service Ltd team of Tom and Ray Maniuszko, Ray Comparato and Gus Maimis took home Callaway low gross honors. Tom Schmidt, Coinmach and David Wollman, Sentry Contracting hit men's long drive with Bruce Harrison, Aquarius Management and Mike Conlon, JAD Bags making closest to the pin; Jennifer Carey, JLC Environmental took women's closest to the pin with Lea Pei, American Pipe and Tank making women's long drive.
Two refreshment carts combed the greens looking for hungry and thirsty players. Thanks to our sponsors Scientific Compactor/Boiler and Air Master Windows for providing the necessary thirst quenchers and energy snacks.
Once again we need to thank Scientific Compactor/Boiler who sponsored the hole-in-one prize…a Buick Park Avenue for any lucky golfer to hit that coveted hole-in-one. Unfortunately no one did!
Sincere appreciation is extended to our photo package sponsor A.C. Klem for supporting this worthwhile NYARM event. Everyone took home a picture of their foursome.
Thanks to everyone who donated raffle prizes and a gift for the goody bag and those companies that sponsored a hole.
Our sincere thanks to all our benefactors. No matter what the occasion, whenever NYARM calls, our members support the organization and help make the day a fund raising success.

Of course, this day would never come to be without our Golf Outing Committee chaired by Wayne Reed along with his able assistants Irwin Sandler and Ben Jacobson.
