PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - THE END OF AN ERA
The long time executive director of the New York Association of Realty Managers (NYARM), Donna Klein has left our organization to become a partner at Alexander Marketing Corp.
After serving for sixteen years as executive director and over eighteen years as publisher and editor of the NYARM newspaper, Donna was presented with an opportunity to become co-principal in a marketing and public relations firm.
Donna, with all her talents and abilities, had become a vibrant and vigorous force within our organization. Every member, supporter, sponsor and exhibitor of NYARM has had contact with Donna. Over the years she has been the one to inform our vast network of the events and programs presented by NYARM. She was the contact person for the members, media and the public. Donna was the organization's spokesperson. She handled all the arrangements and reservations for our monthly meetings, seminars, tradeshow and social events. Donna was part of, and sometimes all of the energy, behind the efforts of NYARM.
As the publisher and editor, Donna developed the NYARM newspaper into one of the most important sources of information for the property management industry. She was responsible for every aspect of producing the newspaper, from advertising to writing, editing and production of each monthly edition. She was so good at her job that it is difficult to fully list all the things Donna Klein did in her service to our great organization.
It will be equally difficult to find her replacement. However, the board of directors has begun a search and will have news of important decisions within the next few days. The office will continue to function, so call or check our website www.nyarm.org for updates and announcements during the coming weeks. And, while you're logged on, feel free to leave a message for Donna. You may also send a note to her at the NYARM office address. We will make sure she gets them all.
As this era ends, we wish Donna Klein well in her new enterprise. She has touched us all and will be missed.
