NYARM INVITES RENOWNED ARCHITECT TO SPEAK AT MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Highlighting the monthly membership meeting of the New York Association of Realty Managers (NYARM) on Wednesday, September 26, will be a discussion focusing on current methods and materials used in interior renovations for multi-family properties.
Eric Regh, managing principal of the New York office of IA (Interior Architects, Inc.), one of the country's largest interior architectural firms, will discuss lobby renovations, common hallways, kitchens, bathrooms and other areas that fall under the purview of managing agents. IA, best known for its work in corporate interiors, has over the last few years translated its expertise into the design of hospitality and multi-family sectors, including residential REITs.
"This is a discussion that gives savvy property managers an advantage over their competition by knowing what comprises good design and quality," states Mr. Jones. "Today, more than ever before, certain amenities are not just desirable, they are essential - and in every economic segment. In addition to running the physical plant, managers need to know how to help make the value of their properties appreciate through appearance."
The meeting, the first of the fall season, begins at 12 noon at Tavern on the Green, Central Park at West 67th Street. NYARM members $60; non-members $100. Manager members may take advantage of a two-for-one special. Bring along a colleague and two managers attend for $60. Lunch at Tavern for $30, can't beat that deal, but remember, one attending manager must be a NYARM member. Advance reservations are requested.
MINI TRADESHOW HOST
NYARM associate member Environmental Cleaning Systems (ECS) will be the mini-trade show host at this meeting. ECS provides a variety of indoor environmental services, installs and maintains compactors, chutes and hopper doors. Steam America, a division of ECS, cleans carpets, upholstery and does graffiti removal. You may discuss your environmental concerns with Steve, pick up literature and get answers to any questions about indoor air quality, mold, lint, etc.
